To create new tasks around inbox, you can even drag messages from your inbox with tasks to the panel.
Unfortunately, and somewhat strangely, the same drag and drop behavior does not currently work (in any direction) with Calendar or Keep. The lack of presence in the Google contacts panel, which seems an obvious element for on-screen access is another obvious omission.

However, if you have Gmail keyboard shortcuts enabled, pressing “g” and then “c” will open up Google Contacts in a separate tab, so at least that’s that.
- Google Tasks is a bit confusing. It is the fact that it overlays considerably with Keep, but it lacks many of the most basic tasks of task management (things like support for sharing or collaborating, the ability to create recurring tasks and ability to create meaningful reminders). The tasks are not currently integrated with the Google cross-product reminder system. But! You can make the items you create in Tasks appear in your Google Calendar; If you know how to do it: open the Google Calendar and look in the section “My calendars” which is in the left panel of the site screen.
